THE RUBBER MAN
Once upon a time, there was a scientist who was working on a potion for stronger balloons. He was mixing some chemicals in a glass when the phone rang. He put down the mixture next to his glass of soda pop and answered the phone.
He talked for quite a while and then returned to his experiment. He took a quick drink of his pop when he noticed that it was sitting right next to his experiment. Do you know what happened?
Well he accidentally drank some of the potion and he started to change. His skin got real thin and rubbery and his bones became flexible and wobbly. (Walk or move like you’re made of rubber) He was becoming the Rubber Man.
Well it was hard for the Rubber Man to move and stand. He needed to do something fast. He took a breath. He took another breath. He noticed that he was starting to blow up. But he wasn’t blowing up enough. Can you help to blow up the Rubber Man? (Pretend that you are slowly blowing up by raising your arms and puffing up your cheeks)(Let the kids blow a bit, it will help them sleep)
“Oh no! Don’t blow too hard! You’re blowing too hard!” (Pretend that you’re a balloon with the air being let out)

This is a favorite of mine because getting the kids to blow up the Rubber man will relax them and help them to sleep easier.
TIP: Encourage them to blow up the Rubber man. Make them work at it.
Run around the room and brush up against them as you deflate.
Don't forget the motorboat sound or fart sound!
Talk like your face is rubbery with big lips.
There's no real ending except that big rubber hug!
